As a family of athletes, sports have always been central to our lives. With both parents being collegiate athletes, it was only natural that all four of our children followed suit. Our oldest, Garrett, started playing travel baseball at a young age, and in 2015, a pivotal moment during the World Series changed our family’s outlook forever.

After watching Daniel Murphy lead the New York Mets to victory, he was asked how he managed to stay calm under the pressure of the game. His simple yet profound response, "I just call on the Holy Spirit to keep me calm," deeply resonated with us. It wasn’t just about staying calm on the field—it became a message that transcended sports and applied to all areas of life.

What started on the field for our family has now become a reminder for hundreds in various aspects of life—whether at work, in relationships, in parenthood, or even during political seasons. HS2KC, "Holy Spirit to keep calm," serves as a reminder that the same power that rose Jesus from the grave—the Holy Spirit, our helper—lives in us and can bring calm in moments of pressure, frustration, anger, and anxiety.

Rooted in the fact that as followers of Jesus, we have access to the Holy Spirit at all times, HS2KC is more than just words; it’s a powerful truth we live by and share with others, grounded in faith, trust, and peace.

Our mission is to inspire others to embrace the reminder of HS2KC, not as a phrase with special power, but as a way to point back to Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Whether it’s on a bracelet, hat, shirt, or sticker—something to glance at throughout the day—or simply knowing the phrase so it comes to mind in times of need, HS2KC serves as a reminder of the power we have through the Holy Spirit. We long for others to know that in times of heartache, stress, anxiety, trials, or moments of joy, they can call on the Holy Spirit to keep them calm. We believe in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—and hope for others to experience not only God’s peace but also the transformative power that comes from placing their faith and trust in Him.

The power doesn’t come from the phrase itself but from remembering that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of us, giving us calm in every moment. As Jesus Himself said in John 16:7, it is for our benefit that He left so the Holy Spirit could be sent to us. By carrying this calm, even when it doesn’t make sense, we can be lights to the world through our actions, ultimately pointing others back to the source of our calm—the Holy Spirit—and sharing the gospel with those in need.

Our vision is to build a global community where people of all ages and backgrounds come together, united by the reminder of HS2KC. Through our merchandise, we want to offer more than just products—creating visible reminders that point people back to the Holy Spirit and the power we have through Him.
